ABOUT LA BODICE

This one is dedicated to women just like me who struggle with body dysmorphia. 

 

It’s for women who just like me have been pressured by the standards set by the beauty industry to look a certain way.

 

La Bodice represents body positivity in all degrees. To us body positivity is simple the power of choice to do with one’s body what they would like and how they would like.

 

Body positivity is waking up everyday and loving yourself in whatever means or manner one chooses to. Not because of pressure from external sources but because you want to.

 

I struggled with body dysmorphia for the longest and sickle cell never made it any easier for me. There were days I’d fall I’ll and get so skinny and I just absolutely hated my body.

 

I found it so difficult to look in the mirror and days when I finally added weight I’d look in the mirror and feel so shapeless, unworthy and insufficient. 

 

My body fluctuated so bad and I never could decide what I really wanted my body to look like and/or how to maintain it.

 

I just want women to feel comfortable with whatever they choose to do with their body. Be it surgery for a flatter stomach or choosing to stick with their flab’s and Fupas. 

 

This brand is to represent every woman’s definition of body positivity in the end.
